“The course was taught in a relaxed, fun and positive way. We learned the theory behind the process with the aid of some really useful visual material and actual practical experience too - e.g. body language and breathing techniques etc, plus we were taught how to practise what we had learned individually. The course also felt light and fun which instantly relaxed me and helped me absorb the information.
It was lovely to be part of a group, to feel that I wasn’t alone and that all sorts of people have anxieties and worries for a multitude of reasons. Instantly I had people to be with and empathise with. I learned so much from working on the process myself but also from watching and listening to the others within the group. The individual session was great too - a real opportunity to polish the process further and work on some other of my personal issues in more detail.” Sara
"The TTR course was extremely useful. Conducted in a comfortable environment, I felt immediately at ease. Before the course, I had felt worried about working in a group, but I found the benefits to be twofold: a sense of shared experience; the great realisation that there are other high functioning people struggling with similar issues. Gill is considered and patient, but at the same time the programme is about taking personal responsibility. The teaching is very insightful and contains a lot of examples and anecdotes. The homework immediately gets one to think about what it is you want, which is a positive problem solving activity. The work is immediately empowering. It is such a relief to have a real learning process that I can use and engage with." Richard
“The teaching and coaching was excellent; warm, positive and focused! The practising was key for me; going through the process and also watching others go through it was extremely helpful. Especially as different elements, e.g. one’s tone of voice and patterns of breathing could be refined. The importance of taking responsibilty for oneself is key.” (Cheryl)
“I enjoyed learning about the working of the mind, which made good sense. The explanations how our thinking affects the neural pathways was very helpful.” (June)
“Gill is enthusiastic, warm, understanding and incredibly supportive. She introduces the process clearly with good visual aids and fascinating stories. There is a good balance between listening and participating, sitting and moving. A sprinkling of humour (never flippant) adds to the enjoyment of this course.” (Liz)
